to North Elmsley Public School, home of the Knights!
NEPS is a small but mighty community
of 60 students where everyone belongs and is welcomed. Located in Port Elmsley,
our school is halfway between Perth and Smiths Falls. Whether students are new
or returning, every Knight, our school mascot, is an important and valued
member of our school community.
Our experienced and dedicated team
of teachers, educational assistants, office staff, and custodians is committed
to ensuring each student experiences social, emotional, and mental well-being at school. Teaching practices at North Elmsley Public School,
including experiential learning, guided instruction, small- and whole-group
learning, and individualised instruction, are differentiated to meet the
learning and developmental needs of each learner. Assessment and evaluation are used as measures for, as, and of learning.
Special education at NEPS
focuses on the whole child, providing appropriate supports and personalized
access points to the curriculum. Targeted math and reading interventions
support students in developing the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to
achieve success. With care and the right supports, every child can become an
enthusiastic mathematician and eager reader!
Developing relationships, creating
partnerships, and communicating effectively with families are essential to
building a safe, caring, equitable, and inclusive school community. At North
Elmsley Public School, we welcome the involvement of parents, guardians, and elders in the life and culture of the school. Details about upcoming events and

Facebook page, and in the school calendar.
Finally, our commitment to reconciliation and rethinking the curriculum to honour Indigenous perspectives continues to guide our understanding in new ways on ancient and traditional lands.
